This ENTRY LEVEL position is responsible for inspecting, stacking and moving finished product from packing tables, bags the product and then places the bag on the conveyor system for removal.Responsibilities / duties include:
- Performs work in a safe manner toassure protection of self and others.
- Becomes familiar with department safety equipment, rules and their necessity.
- Manually removes all trays from the packing table in the prescribed manner.
- Is knowledgeable of tray quality and discards sub-quality trays.
- Informs the Lead Operator or Supervisor of any noticeable change in quality.
- Maintains an accurate count of bags packed.
- Maintains and accurate tray count per bag.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, proficient mathematical skills, the ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team.
