McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3 to 24 in diameter.
Job Description
* Make repairs and rebuilds all equipment throughout the plant
* Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
* Dismantles machines
* Moves machinery and equipment
* Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and rails
* Constructs foundation for machines
* Aligns machines and equipment
* Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures
Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Preferred Three to five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
* Ability to read schematics, in depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
* Must be able to interact with all personnel levels
* Must work with others in a professional, supportive manner
* Ability to read policies and procedures
* Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures
* Must be a motivated self-starter
