Our client is seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead a facility that has undergone significant capital investment and plays a vital role in the company's growth strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a plug-and-play experienced leader. They will also consider high-performing, top candidates currently in a second-in-command position, such as an Assistant Plant Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Production Manager, looking to step into the Plant Manager role and own the whole operation. If you have the drive to lead a high-performing team and the experience to manage complex operations, this role is for you.

***REQUIRED: plant experience within rotogravure, or flexographic/flexography/flexo printing.***

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Strategic Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve production targets.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive cost optimization initiatives. A deep understanding of P&L and the ability to link operational activities to financial outcomes is crucial.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team to meet operational goals.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior management to align plant operations with broader business objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 7 years total work experience in manufacturing environments, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Team Management: Proven experience managing teams of at least 20 people in facilities with at least $10M in revenue.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in managing P&L operations and forecasting, with a keen ability to understand and manage financial impacts of operational decisions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication abilities to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Industry Exclusion: Note that this position is not related to food, chemicals, pharma, or ingredients manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Experience working with these methodologies.
