Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Strategic Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve production targets.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive cost optimization initiatives. A deep understanding of P&L and the ability to link operational activities to financial outcomes is crucial.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team to meet operational goals.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior management to align plant operations with broader business objectives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 7 years total work experience in manufacturing environments, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Team Management: Proven experience managing teams of at least 20 people in facilities with at least $10M in revenue.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in managing P&L operations and forecasting, with a keen ability to understand and manage financial impacts of operational decisions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication abilities to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Industry Exclusion: Note that this position is not related to food, chemicals, pharma, or ingredients manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Experience working with these methodologies.
