Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive process improvements and optimize production for laminated and coated materials. This role involves working directly with machine operators, maintenance teams, and cross-functional departments to implement lean manufacturing strategies, reduce waste, and improve product quality. The successful candidate must be fully onsite, have hands-on experience with lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and be comfortable with frequent floor presence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead lean manufacturing projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with machine operators and maintenance teams for optimal equipment functionality.
- Monitor and evaluate process parameters to improve yields and reduce waste.
- Conduct product development trials and assist with customer complaint resolution.
- Ensure that all safety and quality standards are met consistently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in process improvement roles.
- Proven experience in statistical process control, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Background in high-volume manufacturing with FDA/GMP compliance is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with extrusion laminating, coating, web handling, and slitter machinery.
- Green Belt certification or higher is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with polyethylene resins, extrusion, and coating or laminating.
- Background in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving on the production floor, and maintaining an organized workflow.

Schedule:
