Job Description:

SPECIAL NOTE: We will be accepting resumes and conducting initial screening interviews over the phone and/or Zoom through December 31, 2024. Interviewing with the client starts January 2025 and it is our goal to have a start date of February 1, 025 March 1, 2025.

Position Overview: Will be responsible for managing all Production, Maintenance, and Mold shop activities, under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and implements strategic action plans for these departments.

  • Ensures complete compliance to QMS, GMPs, GDP requirements, and ISO policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze production efficiencies, scrap, safety, and quality in assigned manufacturing areas.
  • Oversight of 54 different production machines.
  • Leads and provides direction to Production, Maintenance, and Mold shop Supervisors. Conduct daily meetings.
  • Delegate work assignments and priorities to Shift Supervisors. Coach, teach, and develop Supervisors to meet expected level of performance.
  • Maintains an efficient workforce through communication and training of personnel.
  • Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
  • Provides clear, consistent expectations of a safe work environment throughout the plant, ensuring safety policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and followed. Lead by example.
  • Work with QA, Scheduling, and Shipping to organize and direct work schedules to meet customer requirements and customer ship dates.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement initiatives to meet plant goals and objectives.
  • Manages production expenses to remain within the budget and assure cost control and cost improvement projects. Develops annual CAPEX for responsible departments.
  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Prior Injection Molding Experience a MUST; A minimum of 10 years experience.
  • Bachelors degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent preferred; or at least 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a plastics injection environment.
  • Experience with pharma, medical supplies, FDA, or packaging are highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze, direct, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Travel less than 20% as needed to customers and suppliers.
