Job Description:

Altamira Material Solutions is an industry leader in PTFE molding, paste extrustion, plastics machining and fabrication, known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor- Mold Shop to join our dynamic team and help drive our production process to new levels of efficiency and quality.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Production Supervisor will providecollaborative hands-on supervision and direction to employees to ensure successful completion of assigned duties and tasks while adhering to company safety protocol. They are responsible for implementing a driven, team-oriented culture, which embraces continuous improvements and ensures across the board operational and process excellence in all areas of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supervise and manage activities directly related to daily business and department needs

Develop, analyze, and deliver simple to complex information to direct reports

Effectively communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues and concerns between shifts to ensure customer expectations are met

Provide mentoring, leadership, and direction to employees

Ensure individuals receive job-specific training and make sure personnel are compliant with all applicable training requirements

Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced and successfully achieve department metrics

Assisting management in establishing and achieving program goals and objectives for the department including Continuous Improvement projects

Identify and elevate issues to management

Facilitate assessment of teams knowledge, skill, and ability for accomplishing projects and tasks

Keep work area clean and organized utilizing (5S) and take proper care of all equipment and facilities

Work with team members and direct employees to maximize productivity and efficiency

Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.

Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred; or a combination of training and 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

3+ years leadership or supervisory experience in a shop environment

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Strong computer skills

Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities

Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Mold Shop

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Most travel is primarily local during the business day. Some projects may require travel out of the area and overnight stays.

While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles

The employee may be exposed to vibration

The employee is occasionally exposed to chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday

May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.

Knows that safety shoes and glasses are required in the manufacturing area

Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and move objects up to 35lbs.
