Manufacturing production Team Lead performs various functions ensuring production processes run efficiently and effectively. They must have excellent attention to detail, be self-sufficient in assembly, testing and documentation of mechanical and electrical assemblies. The Team Lead will know all processes and procedures on the line and be able to monitor workers and the efficiency of the line.
Qualifications
- 1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2. Communication/translation of goals with Spanish speaking staff
- 3. Strong knowledge and practical application of continuous improvement methodologies, including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Poka-Yoke, 6 Sigma, and Kaizen events
- 4. Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- 5. Proficient in MS Office, and other relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting
- 6. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
- 7. Load materials on/off shelving
- 8. Prepare finished goods for Shipping
Responsibilities
- Join a team as the leading solar lighting and smart pole provider specializing in the production of high-quality lighting, communications and smarts for various industries.
- Lead the manufacturing team, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Strengthen a culture of continuous improvement by promoting and implementing methodologies such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Poka-Yoke, 6 Sigma, and Kaizen events
- Actively engage with the team to identify areas for improvement, evaluate processes, and implement changes to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Learn to mentor and develop employees on continuous improvement philosophies and methodologies, providing guidance and support to ensure their successful implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to resolve production issues and drive process improvements
- Utilize MS Office, and other relevant software applications to analyze data, create reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production metrics
- Troubleshoot system-related issues, and assist in customer service inquiries as needed
- Learn to conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to foster individual growth and team development
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, particularly in areas related to safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, material usage, and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted production.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience in asolar or LED lighting manufacturing environment preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as a safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions. Good communication skills are required both verbally and written. Ability to use a computer and input data required for production. Ability to give and receive feedback.
