Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Project Engineer to support and manage key strategic projects. This role will be instrumental in driving both current and upcoming initiatives, with opportunities for future involvement in continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering and a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes.Key responsibilities:- Design, define, and plan efficient manufacturing processes to meet project goals and timelines- Specify and oversee the installation of new processes, ensuring smooth integration and functionality- Plan equipment, build schedules, monitor vendor progress, and ensure timely project execution- Evaluate and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, layouts, materials, and manpower based on data-driven analyses- Continuously improve existing processes by analyzing labor, equipment, and production costs to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness- Estimate manufacturing costs for new product development, including determining standard hours required for operations- Develop detailed method instruction sheets and provide training to supervisors and process specialists on optimal procedures for both new and existing products- Apply ergonomic principles to method designs and equipment layouts to ensure safety, efficiency, and worker comfort- Perform additional duties as required to support the successful completion of manufacturing projectsQualifications:- Minimum of a technical degree in mechanical, electrical/electronic, or manufacturing engineering- Preferred experience in manufacturing methods and processes- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving, communication, and instructional skills- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Familiarity with cost estimation, continuous improvement principles, and ergonomic design is a plus Base salary, $90K - $120K, plus 10-15% yearly bonus, medical, dental coverage, and the use of a Toyota Highlander as a company vehicle.
