The Manufacturing Purchasing Clerk is responsible for working closely with the Plant Accountant and the various departments to process the daily purchase requisition needs for the facility, while furthering all facility cost cutting initiatives.
A Day In The LifeActivities Include but are not limited to:* Placement of MRO purchase requisitions* Maintaining the list of approved vendors and their necessary certifications* Working closely with external purchasing department to track and troubleshoot purchase orders* Researching and working with stakeholders to find cost effective solutions to purchasing needs, and tracking related cost savings* Organization of the Tool Crib, including related ordering and stock movement* Assisting the Plant Accountant as needed* Processing Goods Receipts, and troubleshooting MRBR as needed*Corroborating with the FASTENAL team on cost effective purchases and the usage monitoring*Timely processing of the weekly plating chemical and supply orders* Use SAP, Excel, Work Email, etc.* May be called on to lift up to 35 lbs. and to help with lifting over 35 lbs.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:* Acting as back-up when necessary for the Administrative Assistant and Warehouse Clerk roles* Self-Starter & Communicator. Works with limited supervision and enjoys getting the job done. Questions requests from other departments if they don't seem right; works together to find the right answer.*Team player working towards the collective success of the facility, through a positive attitude, respectful communication and a willingness to collaborate with other employees.
