We are driven to develop industry leading process innovations and manufacturing techniques on behalf of our customers.About the Opportunity:As a Quality Engineer III, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the quality processes, ensuring that our products meet customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage quality control processes, and mentor junior engineers to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.Location: Thomasville, GAResponsibilities:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
- Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS), industry standards (ISO, ASQ, etc.), and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and maintaining QMS documentation and processes for management review, ensuring they meet customer and industry standards. Support efforts for certification and re-certification processes (ISO 9001, TS16949, etc.).
- Analyze quality data, monitor performance, and identify trends. Generate reports and present findings to management, recommending improvements based on data analysis.
- Work with the supply chain team to evaluate and improve supplier performance. Conduct supplier audits, develop quality improvement plans, and ensure that suppliers meet quality expectations.
- Mentor and train junior quality engineers, technicians, and other staff on quality processes, tools, and techniques. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams during the design and development of new products. Ensure that quality requirements are met and that new processes and products comply with standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements in all quality-related activities. Stay up to date on changes to industry regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy
- At least 7 years of quality engineering experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace experience.
- A Master's degree or certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), or similar is a plus.
- Extensive experience with quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (ISO 9001, TS16949, etc.).
- Experience supporting site as quality management representative
- Strong knowledge of advanced quality tools and methodologies (statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.).
- Proficient in the use of quality software (e.g., Minitab, SAP, or other ERP systems).
- Experience with audit management, both internal and external, and the ability to lead and support regulatory and customer audits.
- Experience in supplier quality management and the ability to drive improvements in the supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency in CAD, QMS and ERP software.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customers.
