We are seeking a motivated and skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team dedicated to advancing fusion energy systems. This is an onsite role at our customer s location in Devens, MA, where the position is referred to as an EFIN (Engineering Fix it Now) resource. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and/or quality engineering, coupled with a proactive attitude and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and refine manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
* Implement quality assurance protocols and conduct inspections to meet regulatory and company standards.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize tools, fixtures, and gauges for production.
* Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
* Maintain documentation for quality processes, audits, and compliance standards.
* Serve as a proactive resource at the customer site, addressing engineering and quality issues swiftly and professionally.
* Support supplier quality management, including reviews and audits as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing and quality engineering.
* Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
* U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required due to project restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Teamcenter.
* Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques and tools.
* Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, energy, or nuclear) is highly desirable.
