RED Digital Cinema, a Nikon Group company and world-class brand that sits at the nexus of manufacturing, technology and media and entertainment production, is seeking to identify a Manufacturing Quality Supervisor to oversee a high-performing QA team and bring technical expertise and a continuous improvement mindset to the organization's QA practices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with upper management, to achieve and maintain daily target limitations, capabilities, and overall performance levels
- Supervise a team of 5 to 6 QA technicians
- Write, review, and validate quality assurance procedures, and product specifications to ensure compliance and overall product quality
- Define, generate, and execute strategies, to ensure that daily goals are efficiently achieved.
- Liaise between multiple departments (manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, shipping and receiving) for daily operations and product output
- Train and mentor new and current quality and manufacturing staff within a manufacturing line environment
- Perform analysis and investigation to determine the cause and corrective action of delivered non-conformances
- Conduct internal compliance audits for the Manufacturing and Quality departments.
- Receive and process Customer Returns through a Quality controlled process with analysis feedback for the Customer Service Department
- Provide Production Lines with Quality Material Board Review (MRB) support.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership experience
- Effective communication skills and technical writing skills
- Associates Degree (Metallurgical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality or Mechanical) or equivalent experience
- General understanding of Quality Assurance Systems and Applications, such as ISO 9001
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer delivery dates and willing to work overtime
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
