Job DescriptionManufacturing Quality Technician Cypress, CAAs a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to cover several test and inspection operations on the shop floor. These may include the use of various hand tools, gauges, fixtures, camera, microscope and equipment to perform visual, mechanical and analytical testing of the ceramic matrix composites components manufactured on site. You will need the ability to use basic math and troubleshoot to work beyond step-by-step instructions and be able to work on rotating shifts and overtime if required, inclusive of weekends and holidays.   • Prepare material samples for the various inspection types and perform visual inspections to company standards and perform manual measurement techniques.
  • Work in accordance with work instructions, safety procedures, and quality procedures
  • Assist with the development and documentation of new procedures, as well as updating existing procedures
  • Implement improvement initiatives, up keeping of 5S activities and housekeeping standards
  • Process, prepare and analyze inspection reports as well as maintain tools and equipment
Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED with mechanical testing experience
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
  • Familiarity with a variety of inspection equipment such CMM, X-Ray machines, CT Scanner, Optical Imaging systems.
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, thermocouples, load cells, extensometers, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience with soldering, strain gage application, or composite layups
  • Knowledge of ceramic and composites characteristics
