Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to learn the process of starting up, operating, and shutting down all equipment operations
  • Mentor and work closely with a wide variety of manufacturing teams with responsibilities in machine operation, metal forming, powder coating, and fabrication
  • Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Completes daily and weekly plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establish priorities; monitor progress; resolve problems; communicate status or timeline of jobs amongst necessary departments.
  • Utilizes LEAN manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency
  • Establishes and enforces organizational standards
  • Enforces safety protocols and quality control standards to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Serves as a role model for expected behavior.
  • Ensures efficient operation of equipment by contacting maintenance for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Works in conjunction with the Manufacturing Manager to resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, recommending action.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs periodic rounds to assure safe and efficient operation of the plant.
  • Assists all departments with all resources to attain the highest quality and output
  • Delegates work assignments to employees to maximize productivity
  • Must learn and be able to navigate Navision MRP system
  • Provides effective raining to new associates
  • Will be responsible for inventory accuracy as it pertains to operations
