Join us at Brooks Automation and be a part of a dynamic organization that is shaping the future of technology.Manufacturing System Technician (Contract Role)Job Description* PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION BASED OUT OF OUR CHELMSFORD, MA LOCATION *WHAT YOU'LL DO* Perform manufacturing operations related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final system assemblies.* Work with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks.* Perform testing and troubleshooting related to the manufacturing process.* Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.* Determine or assist in developing methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and/or diagrams to control or modify the manufacturing process.* Assist engineers in conducting experiments.* Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.* Provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel and may lead or supervise activities within a team lead function.* Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.* Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.WHAT YOU'LL BRING* Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.* 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.* Proficiency in using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data.* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.* Ability to follow established procedures, processes, or policies.Brooks is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and proudly serves as an equal-opportunity employer.
