Job Description: Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine, repetitive tasks in the Process Department to manufacture substrates and elements. The selected candidate must have the ability to perform the essential duties & responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but is not limited to the duties described below. Essential Functions:
  • Depending on work assignment, may perform one or more of the following tasks in producing parts:
    • Operate and maintain thin film equipment
    • Prepare substrates for thin film deposition by cleaning, etching, and other surface preparation methods.
    • Thermal trim; dicing; element deposition/processing; substrate etching.
    • Ensure the laboratory is clean, organized, and well-maintained, following safety protocols and guidelines.
    • Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and materials, ordering replacements as necessary
    • Assists in meeting daily production requirement throughout process area. Communicate effectively with team lead to discuss production plans, results, and any issues encountered
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years related experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • Mechanically inclined including ability to use microscope and measuring tools such as calipers.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Preferred knowledge of micro or macro photo fabrication of elements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
