Manufacturing Technician II - Second Shift

Location: University Research Park, Madison, WI

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Thursday, 2:45 PM - 12:45 AM

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 after 90 days

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of product assembly processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Analyze labor variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Address production non-conformances promptly and recommend process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and develop innovative solutions.
  • Create and update process documentation, deviations, and work instructions.
  • Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Lean Manufacturing Team and production leadership on process enhancements.
  • Assist in designing and recommending process-related tooling.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Associate's Degree in Electronics, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing, including soldering (SMT and Thru-Hole), testing, repair, and programming.
  • Familiarity with IPC Workmanship Standards and ISO Quality Standards (preferred).
  • CAD (electrical/mechanical) design experience a plus.
  • Commitment to safe production practices and adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
