Job Description:

**DIRECT HIRE - Manufacturing Engineer**

**Shift:** 1st shift - 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

**Salary:** $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience

**Location:** Cincinnati, OH

**JOB SUMMARY:**

The Manufacturing Engineer will analyze manufacturing drawings, job specifications, and related data to visualize and develop manufacturing and machining processes to produce parts efficiently and accurately.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Develop effective manufacturing processes to meet customer needs.

+ Estimate time and material costs for the manufacturing process.

+ Provide engineering solutions to optimize cost, processes, and delivery schedules.

+ Communicate with customers, suppliers, and employees effectively.

+ Develop process routers and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

+ Collaborate with the sales team, shop floor team, vendors, and customers to:

+ Confirm customer requirements and ensure expectations are understood.

+ Review internal capabilities to ensure job specifications can be met.

+ Identify scheduling conflicts, production bottlenecks, and missing information.

+ Obtain accurate and competitive pricing.

+ Modify engineering drawings to include additional details necessary for the production of components and assemblies per customer drawings.

+ Evaluate engineering changes suggested by fabrication personnel and, upon customer approval, revise internal documentation and programs.

+ Review and evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), engineering memorandums, and drawings from customers; recommend alternatives if necessary.

+ Research and resolve problems encountered during the manufacturing and fabrication of components and assemblies.

+ Develop proper file formats for transferring into machines that cut sheet metal and plate using lasers, turret punches, and press brakes.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Experience:**

+ 3-5+ years in a Manufacturing Engineering environment.

+ Proficiency in 3D CAD programs, especially SolidWorks.

+ Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining processes.

+ Ability to develop cost estimates for various projects and parts.

+ Capability to identify key manufacturing problems and formulate solutions.

**Education:**

+ Bachelor's degree preferred
