Position: Manufacturing Technician

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team and help maintain rigorous standards for quality, cleanliness, and consistency in our manufacturing process. This role is crucial in ensuring that every batch meets our high standards for purity and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Lead on the fermentation of agricultural substrates and operate specialized equipment such as ribbon mixers, water pumps, and steam sterilizers with precision and care.
- Follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for substrate preparation, inoculation, fermentation, and extraction, including accurate weighing, measuring, and quality checks (e.g., pH and temperature monitoring) to ensure consistent product quality.
- Document each step meticulously, recording operational parameters, observations, and photographs to maintain traceability and support internal quality control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and contamination-free laboratory environment, adhering to stringent sanitation and sterilization protocols, including dishwashing and media preparation.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, actively contributing to a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor over 6-8 hours, including standing for extended periods and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude, showing pride in delivering high-quality, independent work.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management to ensure consistency and quality across batches.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to evolving production needs.
- Experience with fungal or microbial cultures is preferred, especially in mushroom cultivation or similar biological processes.
- Competency with basic calculations, Excel for data entry and the Microsoft office suite.
Additional Skills and Attributes
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, accuracy in documentation, and thorough process traceability.
- Awareness of quality control principles, including the importance of detailed recording and contamination prevention.
- Familiarity with and experience maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
