Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Job Code: 19121 Job Location: Orlando, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Coleman Aerospace team in Orlando, FL that will support our Torpedo Propulsion Program. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies of several torpedo development programs. Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Essential Functions: - Use of hand and power tools, specialty tools and diagnostic Equipment.
- Ensuring work is complete using Electro-static discharge precautions.
- Use of process plans (Work instructions) and engineering drawings to build assemblies while making sure all steps are read and adhered to.
- Following all special safety requirements for the area.
- Tool verification and setup.
- Use of lifting devices including cranes and pallet jacks.
- Working with a team to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to move or transport up to 40 pounds, use transporting equipment.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience.
