Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to performwith or without reasonable accommodations. Assist press operators with press cleanup and job changeover as needed and/oras directed by the Shift Supervisor, including cleaning anilox rolls and pressaccessories. Monitor Receiving, Raw Materials Storage, Press, Slitting, Finished Goods andShipping areas for housekeeping requirements. These include sweeping,dust mopping, trash removal, replacing surplus components in proper storageareas, removing and banding corrugated for recycling, and other cleaningactivities as directed by management or supervision. Use pallet jack/ forklift to move and dump waste gondolas for the press areafinishing area. Operate fork/clamp truck. As time allows, police exterior of building, particularly area arounddumpsters, to pick up paper and other waste materials that might be blownaround the parking lot and plant property. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow all documented and accepted company, plant and department policies andprocedures with special attention to safety guidelines and practices whileexhibiting a positive attitude. Other (Non-Essential) Functions Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title.However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a Reasonable Accommodation under the ADA. Contributes to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts. Attend training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills. All other duties assigned by immediate supervisor on an as needed basis. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED Basic computer and math skills, ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, andbar graphs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to work extended hours as required Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines Ability to work with extremely confidential information/situations and maintainconfidentiality Excellent oral and written communications skills through all levels ofmanagement Communicate ideas concisely and effectively in oral and written form, includingpreparation and delivery of production meeting on assigned shift. Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasanthazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, highnoise levels, chemicals more than 50% of the work time. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount offorce frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise moveobjects, including the human body. Sedentary workinvolves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standingare required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time on aconcrete floor, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for longdistances or moving from one work site to another. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activitieswhere detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to othersaccurately, loudly, or quickly. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or withoutcorrection and having the ability to receive detailed information through oralcommunication and making fine discriminations in sound.
