As a Foundry Specialist at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to core making such as dipping, inspecting and assembling cores. You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:**+ Core box mounting+ Mixing and testing core sand+ Bolt threading+ Molding functions such as preparing pouring basins+ Mold spraying, drying and/or venting+ Operating punch-out and related equipment+ Finishing functions such as riser breaking+ Hand chipping and finning+ Operating shakeouts, stand and portable grinders+ Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles**Minimum Qualifications:**+ One-year prior manufacturing work experience+ Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds+ Ability to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift+ Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment**Top candidates will also have:**+ Previous machine shop or foundry experience+ Computer knowledge+ Verbal and written communication skills+ Problem solving and decision-making+ Math skills**What You Will Get:**Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
