Apply today and join the company that is Leading with Science® As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the inspection, design, and analysis of marine and coastal structures. Your responsibilities will include performing engineering calculations, preparing contract drawings and specifications, submitting permitting applications, and providing construction support through direct coordination with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine, coastal, and waterfront structural/geotechnical engineering projects. This includes hands-on experience with the inspection, design, rehabilitation, permitting, and construction oversight of bulkheads, piers, marine terminals, fendering and mooring systems, ferry landings, living shorelines, stone revetments, and other port-related infrastructure. Your Role
- Lead the technical aspects of project deliverables, including the preparation of contract drawings, specifications, cost estimates, permit applications, inspection reports, and calculation packages
- Oversee the structural, coastal, and geotechnical engineering design of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct above-water inspections of marine structures
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, external consultants, government agencies, and internal teams, providing technical guidance and oversight.
Qualifications: - BS or MS in civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, or coastal engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, such as SAP2000, RISA 3-D, Revit, AutoCAD, LPile, Optimoor, and Mathcad.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in marine and coastal design and inspection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (to include Word, Excel, Project) required.
NY Salary: $64,000 - $166,000 dependent on experience.
