Main Tasks and objectives

- Coordinate and execute daily logistical operations.

- Make necessary ERP transactional inputs for shipments, delivery, expected costs, invoice approval and document retention.

- Provide expertise internally and externally as needed along with market insight, pricing trends, and regulatory changes affecting commercial activities. - Maintain and audit processes used by HELM to meet or exceed existing requirements.

- Maintain and foster good business relationships and partnerships with relative logistics service providers.

- Responsible for adhering to and reporting quarterly spend for mode of transport.

- Identify solutions that will meet or exceed internal/external customer expectations with the intent to make HELM's logistical operations add value to our overall business.

- Issue and escalate non-conformances to logistics service providers.

- Key contributor in continuous improvement activities to drive operations and cost efficiency.

Individual Tasks

- Coordinate with supply chain on monthly barge schedule, communicate and adjust if any changes or delays.

- With Supply Chain, coordinate terminal operations for leased shore tanks, act as escalation party for all terminal issues and non-conformances with service provider.

- Nominations of barge, vessel, and surveyors. - Coordinate inbound barge movements to terminals.

- Monitor shore tank volumes to ensure adequate inventory for outbound obligations.

- Plan monthly import/export volumes and book/charter vessel space.

- Review and negotiate FOB barge/vessel nominations.

- Coordinate with forwarders on BOL and AES instructions for exports.

- Review and analyze demurrage claims and coordinate with SCC.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

- Bachelor's or master's degree preferred

- Strong background in bulk liquid marine and terminal operations.

- Strong knowledge of surveyor and inspection procedures.

- Experience with chemical products, markets, applications & industries (preferred).

- Experience and competency in communicating to multiple levels of executive management.

- Experience in managing time sensitive problems with cost effective solutions.

- Active communication and networking, team- & business-minded.

- Experience and interest in sustainability / marketing of bio-based products.

Required Tool Know How:

- Salesforce

- SAP (preferred)

- Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
