Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC is seeking to hire a Blaster Painter for our Tampa Shipyard. This position earns an hourly rate of $24 - $26 based on experience. POSITION DESCRIPTION.

As a painter/blaster, you will perform blasting and painting utilizing coating to specified contract requirements. Painters and blasters perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision. Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all application methods and identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Apply coatings through conventional and airless spray systems.

* Apply paint with brush and roll.

* Knowledge of various painting methods and applications.

* Knowledge of various blasts.

* Grinding, sanding and polishing.

* Painting, caulking and sealing.

* Direct blast of abrasive-laden compressed air or water against metal or hard composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust and dirt to impart even finish.

* Apply masking materials to protect designated areas from abrasive finish.

* Apply epoxy, polyurethane and high solids coatings.

* Operate a man lift, work at heights, and swing stage training.

* Must Wear respirator and other required PPE.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school education or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must possess the physical abilities necessary to perform all aspects of his or her job including but not limited to; general lifting and carrying equipment and tools, bending and climbing. Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time. Work in various types of weather conditions.

HOURS.

Day shift working 40+ hours a week. Must be available for weekends.
