Marine Parts Specialist

(Full-Time)

We are looking for a Marine Parts Specialist to join our team. You must work hard and be excellent with people and details; we reward enthusiasm and a continuous improvement mindset with growth. You will also have the occasional workday out on a boat! Paid training is provided for positive attitudes and team players who care deeply about the customer's experience.

Cornhole and ping-pong skills are not required but may come in handy at our company tournaments! And did we mention the oyster roasts and boat outing weekends?

Key Tasks

  • Support the Service Team by looking up, ordering, pulling, staging, and selling all marine parts required by technicians daily and as needed
  • Maintain and control parts inventory to generate income and meet the needs of the boat service department and walk-in customers
  • Ensure accuracy and limit obsolescence and shrinkage of inventory
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Process parts and accessory sales, receive parts deliveries and input invoices, keep customers and coworkers aware of updates on parts order statuses
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to strengthen customer loyalty and company reputation
  • Process and manage new warranty parts and requested warranty returns
  • Assist customers by identifying, locating and cashiering retail parts and accessories in person and over the phone
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Negotiate with suppliers for strong margins in order to achieve targeted profits

Requirements

  • Accuracy with detail and procedures
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Mechanically inclined and/or experienced with boats and marine engines required
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Comfort with a fast-pace environment
