Key Responsibilities:
Direct Collaboration with Ownership:
- Partner closely with the owner to address high-priority technical challenges, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, contributing insights to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements.
Maritime Technical Expertise:
- Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to marine control systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and propulsion systems.
- Deliver expert-level support both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal vessel performance.
Leadership & Mentorship Development:
- Shadow the owner to develop advanced technical, operational, and leadership expertise.
- Mentor and guide technical teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with company standards.
Executive-Level Communication:
- Serve as a key liaison between the owner, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Articulate technical challenges and solutions in a clear and actionable manner to support decision-making at the highest level.
On-Site Support & Travel:- Travel to maritime job sites with the owner to oversee high-profile projects, provide hands-on technical support, and ensure project success.
Strategic Collaboration:
- Work across departments, aligning technical solutions with the company's strategic vision and long-term objectives.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent expertise in the maritime sector.
- Extensive hands-on experience with marine control systems, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to address complex maritime technical challenges under high-pressure situations.
- Advanced knowledge of marine electrical schematics, diagnostics, and operational protocols.
Skills & Abilities:
