Job Type Full-time Description Market Access Consultant Recently named as one of PA's Best Places to Work , Herspiegel Consulting is a management consulting firm focusing on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Our organization helps clients build successful brands from preclinical phases through launch and to formulate and implement brand-specific strategies and programs for in-line brands. Services include brand strategy, market assessment; brand positioning, launch planning, lifecycle management, thought leader identification and engagement, and identification/development of marketing programs and sales force training/communication. In this newly created position, the selected individual will play a key role supporting our Market Access Practice. Primary Responsibilities: • Interfacing with clients, while providing on-going subject matter expertise in support for development of deliverables • Support in designing, implementing, and delivering on a variety of project types and therapeutic areas, including: • Commercialization and market access strategy development • Value proposition creation (for client products to payers and providers) • Message testing/payer market research • Reimbursement and landscape assessments • Field force tools development and training (i.e., account manager tool kits) • Healthcare trend identification and impact analyses across the product lifecycle • Brand planning engagements • Market research including ad boards, focus groups and in-depth interviews • Market segmentation analyses • Account strategy • Pricing and contracting strategy • Commercialization strategy • Competitive simulation workshops • Push- and pull-through strategy • Participate in business and strategy development • Serving as a clinical content resource for the development of promotional materials (including content for advisory boards and value proposition materials) • Participate in project team meetings and collaborating with fellow team members to efficiently complete engagements within allotted number of hours by given timeline • Synthesize findings, develop recommendations and communicate results to clients and internal teams • Monitor trends and potential coverage and reimbursement issues, existing and emerging government and payer policies, competitive pricing and contracting strategies, and potential barriers to provider and patient access • Supporting goals for service line growth • Provide thought leadership and innovation within the Market Access practice • Therapeutic areas may include but are not limited to biotech/specialty products, orphan and ultra-orphan disease, oncology, and primary care • Demonstrate commitment to the firm and inspiring fellow employees to excellence in all matters of internal and external project work Requirements Education, Experience and Knowledge: • Advanced degree required, PharmD (preferred) or PhD. OR, MBA, MPH, or Master's in Health Economics or equivalent degree • 4-8 years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical industry or consulting market access • Structured and well organized, with a proven ability to simultaneously handle multiple workstreams with varying degrees of complexity and time constraints • Demonstrates knowledge of managed markets, reimbursement, and/or health economics • Ability to confidently communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a clear and compelling manner, tailored to various audiences • Strong presentation skills for both internal and client communications • Functions well in a team atmosphere • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, successful consulting firm, which maintains high quality standards and demands excellence • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and associated software • Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop sound, long-term client relationships and an ability to influence clients without being overbearing • High emotional intelligence and willingness to expand beyond the role in order to help the team meet deadlines Additional Information: 25% travel may be required Candidates received unsolicited from Agencies are free referrals unless a formal Herspiegel Consulting Recruiting Agreement has been executed.
