Its solutions are found in some of the most well-known names in the Healthcare, Personal Care, Household, and Food and Beverage markets.Job Summary: The Market Development Director will be responsible for driving and overseeing the global strategy and growth plans the Integrated Performance Solutions (IPS) segment.It will be critical for this role to focus on mid to long term growth by developing next generation product platforms and / or new business capabilities and go to market requirements critical for success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in new market assessments, business strategy and portfolio creation, proposal of strong business cases excellent communication skills, and a passion for profitable business growth.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market assessments and propose new business opportunities, strategies and deployment plans for a successful entry of a new market.
  • Monitor key trends driving consumer behavior and market activity to fuel future technology and capability needs for IPS growth and market share success.
  • Ensure latest competitive intelligence by working closely with Sales, other functions, industry publications/conferences and reports to provide critical market insights for strategy and decision making.
  • Develop mid to long term vision and strategy for the segment, focused on next generation technology capabilities and product platforms which address key market needs to generate value for the targeted market.
  • Proactively propose opportunities for new products or technologies that can improve existing offerings, expand the offering or enter into adjacent markets.
  • Draft and propose business cases for an investment to move the business forward and secure profitable growth potential for IPS.
  • Ability to tactically implement strategies, often requiring but not limited to in market tasks relating to customer interactions, industry conferences, etc.
  • Partner with Sales to develop the right go to market strategy for any product or market path to ensure capturing the most value and approach for the segment.
  • Partner with Generating Demand Marketing and Corporate Communications in developing a marketing plan for IPS Sealing.
  • Drive market connections through customer innovation meetings, tradeshow and industry conference attendance.
  • Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative decision making for significant business investments for the segment.
  • Ability to use and learn as needed multiple business tools to best assess overall business - Power BI, Finance reports, Salesforce, Smartsheet, etc.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration is preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic and new business platform growth. (12+ Years)
  • Ability to propose strategy and present to cross functions and Sr leadership regularly.
  • Experience in developing business cases and proposals up to management.
  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills.
  • Acute attention to detail while ability to assess at marco level assessment.
  • Demonstrate initiative, integrity and results oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and influencing verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong motivation and work ethic and the ability to work independently remotely, travel and ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines.
