Market Facing Underwriting Manager II (UW000#######) Zurich is currently looking for an experienced Market Facing Underwriting Manager II- Management Liability for our team in the East Region! We are hiring this new team member in New York! As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills. Specifically, you will underwrite and analyze new and renewal management liability accounts. This is a market facing position and you are expected to be visible in the marketplace 25% of the time. The Management Liability Underwriting Manager is responsible for: Managing a varying level of junior and senior level underwriters Generating, underwriting, and analyzing Management Liability Risk business for Public Companies Market facing and production activities. Complying with underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules Developing and maintaining agency and broker relationships Working within broad limits and authorities on complex assignments East Region Public Company D&O portfolio Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaAND 2 or more years of management experience Preferred Qualifications: CPCU Advanced knowledge of product lines and insurance industry Excellent skills in relationship building Results oriented Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
