The Market Leader plays a key role in overseeing and driving the success of multiple Salon Lofts locations within a designated market. The primary focus of the Market Leader is to lead, develop, and support Loft Owners (independent beauty professionals) by providing business guidance, fostering a vibrant community, and ensuring the locations meet financial and operational goals. This role requires a blend of leadership, operational management, and a passion for the beauty industry.
Occupancy & Leasing
- Execute the market strategy for leasing spaces to licensed industry professionals, focusing on achieving occupancy and revenue goals within the local market.
- Actively manage a pipeline of prospective lease candidates, consistently following up to close deals and fill available spaces.
- Implement marketing and outreach strategies to attract new Loft Owners and maintain full occupancy.
- Maintain a strong social media presence to engage and network with prospective loft owners.
Brand Standards & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure that all locations meet company brand standards in terms of cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance.
- The Market Leader is responsible for addressing reasonable maintenance and cleaning tasks during each visit, such as changing light bulbs, cleaning walls, sweeping lofts, and covering windows in under-construction spaces
- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to identify and address any maintenance or operational issues, working closely with the facilities team to ensure swift resolution, escalating to Regional Manager as needed.
Loft Owner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with salon professionals, serving as their main point of contact and ensuring their experience is positive.
- Proactively engage with Loft Owners to understand their needs and provide solutions to any concerns, improving overall satisfaction.
- Foster a sense of community among the salon Loft Owners, driving engagement and loyalty through regular interactions.
- Quarterly audit of LO participation in SL offerings (online scheduler, rent rewards, Intuit, etc.) to identify coaching opportunities and increase adoption.
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly events aimed at engaging the salon
- professionals and building a supportive community.
- Ensure events align with brand values and offer Loft Owners opportunities for networking, growth, and enhancing their salon business
- Develop strong external partnerships with brand reps for networking and referral opportunities.
- Present monthly at beauty schools to create pipeline for future industry professionals
Retention & Attrition Management
- Identify potential attrition risks and take proactive measures to retain existing Loft Owners.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to implement strategies that improve Loss Owner retention and reduce turnover.
- Monitor arrears notices and meet with affected LO's
Sales & Lead Management
- Implement sales strategies provided by the Regional Manager and National Sales and Education Trainer to improve leasing performance.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date lead records in SalesForce.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, prospecting efforts, and

- Regularly update the prospect pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking the progress of each potential Loft Owner in SalesForce.
- Engage and network with licensed professionals outside the salon space to prepare for future loft openings.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Report on local market performance, including occupancy rates, sales activities, and leasing progress.
- Monitor key performance metrics, adjusting sales efforts to ensure local market goals are met.
Facility Operations & Problem Solving
- Ensure that the facility operates smoothly, resolving any issues promptly and with minimal disruption to the Loft Owner's experience.
- Work with vendors, facilities teams, and other departments as needed to maintain the overall functionality and appearance of the space.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-unit operations, sales, or business management, ideally in a retail, real estate, or beauty-related industry.
- Experience in working with independent contractors or small business owners is highly desirable.
