Job Description:

Responsible for the strategic execution of commercial and retail production and profitability goals for the assigned market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

* Manages a loan portfolio commensurate with a senior lender level role.

* Develops new business relationships within a reasonable geographic location. Utilizes existing relationships to provide opportunities for special product line partners such as cash management, mortgages, etc.

* Manages a team of Commercial Lenders, working to provide development opportunities through client partnerships.

* Responsible for qualified, effective referrals to business partners.

* Leads a team of loan administrative personnel and/or lenders in all facets of portfolio management.

* Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all compliance regulations pertinent to assigned duties by successful completion of any courses assigned in a timely manner. Follows all regulatory banking laws and explains compliance to others. This includes, but is not limited to, BSA, CRA, CIP, OFAC, GLBA, Reg. CC, Reg. GG, Information Security, etc.

* Completes all assigned training on time to maintain skills and knowledge, especially with regard to safety, security, compliance and risk. Ensures that all assigned employees complete their training on time.

* Follows all physical and data security procedures as set forth by policy and instructs others on the proper safety protocols.

* Collaborates with and supports others within the organization on all matters of mutual concern. Demonstrates flexibility in working with others, maintains composure in frustrating situations, adapts to change and helps others adapt.

* Leads by example in professionalism and proper interpersonal skills. Responsible for adherence to Heritage Southeast Bank's Code of Conduct and Ethics, as well as observing and promoting compliance with the Code among teammates, customers, and vendors. Demonstrates a positive and helpful behavior toward customers and teammates throughout the bank. Assumes responsibility for mistakes. Demonstrates consistency between what is said and what is done. Behaves according to sound ethical and legal standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises others.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Experience: Ten years of bank lending or business development experience

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, vendor contracts, or governmental regulations. Ability to write. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Ability to create spreadsheets in Excel. Ability to create and edit Word documents. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Ability to navigate the Internet.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve complex, sometimes technical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
