The Impact You Will Make The Marketing Agent is part of the Everstory Partners Sales Team and is responsible for generating new prospective client accounts through telephone selling, face-to-face community involvement, print, electronic advertising, and direct mail, to set appointments and bring new business to the location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform outreach to members of community and assist sales team and funeral arrangers with building relationships and informing legacy and potential client families of our products and services.
- Develop new prospects and community-based contacts using the provided call list.
- Represent the company in a professional and caring manner, maintaining a professional personal appearance and employing honesty, integrity, and ethical methods.
- Carefully screen call list and maintain record of contacts, accounts, and orders.
- Make appointments and complete appointment cards.
- Contact and schedule potential client families for an appointment for a sales presentation.
- Educate on pre-need sales and cemetery merchandise and services as well as interment right options using scripts and established marketing programs.
- Answer questions from potential customers who are responding to advertisements.
- Maintain positive and proactive communication and cooperation with all departments to ensure a smooth service process for the family.
- Report all progress to the Sales Manager (or Unit Leader) as directed, completing and submitting all required reports in a timely manner, on a daily and weekly basis.
- Protect confidentiality of company and client family information, including sales and marketing programs and materials, names and addresses of client families and employees, and other related information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree or combination of education, training and experience preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in sales or marketing role preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
- Experience working in a CRM (lead management system) preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to effectively utilize all sales training and techniques to fulfill production requirements.
- Ability to empathize with client families and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations.
- Ability to be proactive and willing to take initiative in all circumstances.
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through personal community involvement.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle. Offsite appointments will occur in this role including meetings with clients and community events. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel associated with job duties.
