Title: Marketing Assistant (on-site) Client: Energy Consulting Firm Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Houston, Texas (Downtown) Pay: $30-32/DOE Summary: Our client an Energy Consulting Firm is searching for Marketing Assistant to join to support the company's marketing and communications efforts. The successful candidate will be a polished team player who is service-oriented, collaborative, resourceful, and self-motivated who possesses a mix of marketing and content writing skills. This role is responsible for supporting the Marketing Communications team by generating, maintaining, and distributing content across the firm's varied media platforms, compiling data and reports, and managing CMS tools. Please note the position will be based in Houston, Texas and is working onsite at their corporate office location in the downtown area. Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment, maintain composure and produce accurate work in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment with tight turnarounds. Performing the essential duties of the position within time constraints is a must. Duties:
- Draft and edit compelling content, format, tag, and distribute content to multiple audiences across corporate varied media platforms - website, intranet, email marketing, social media, media publications, etc.
- Write content for multiple audiences to be used throughout marketing communication campaigns.
- Compile data, metrics, and reports for email marketing, website, and social media initiatives.
- Maintain the review and approval process for executive management team biographies and staff images while also managing company corporate LinkedIn page.
- Understand and adhere to marketing compliance regulations to ensure all materials and communications comply with industry, and legal standards.
- Maintain brand marketing integrity and consistency across all platforms.
- Special communications projects include creating compelling content for PR campaigns.
- Work closely with the marketing communications team coordinating small to large scale events, tradeshows, and conferences.
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in similar roles, applicable marketing, and PR internship experience counts.
- Online portfolio showcasing applicant's own work, including writing samples, audio, video, social media graphics, and printed materials.
- Excellent editorial and writing skills along with knowledge of CMS tools such as Sitecore, Vuture, SharePoint, PitchPerfect, Passle, JDMondaq, Supra.
- Knowledge of PR platforms of Meltwater, and Roxhill is a big plus!
- Working proficiency of various digital social media formats: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Oktopost, and Clearview Social.
- Creative management experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Vimeo, and/or Descript applications.
- MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field is required.
