We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing assistant to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies. The home base of the role will be Midland Park NJ, but responsibilities will cover all Kuiken Brothers locations throughout NJ and NY.As a marketing assistant, you will collaborate with our marketing team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels.The primary role of the Marketing Assistant will be to function as administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. You will collaborate with our marketing and advertising teams in each stage of marketing campaigns. Your work will include developing, growing, and expanding our marketing channels through social media outreach, blogging, and strategic planning.Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasksAssist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)Develop copy and creative for blogs, social media posts and e-newslettersCommunicate with distributor and manufacturer partners about new products and services available to our employees and customersHelp organize marketing events focused on product education for core customers (builders, remodelers, architects, interior designers) and employeesCoordinate in-store/ showroom merchandising initiativesAcquisition and distribution of promotional materials (hats, t-shirts, pens, pencils)Develop marketing strategies for Kuiken Brothers exclusive brands and services, including Kitchen & Bath, KB Moulding Collection, Commercial Building Materials, Millwork Showrooms, On-Line Account Management ToolsCollecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaignsPerforming market analysis and research on competitionHelp distribute marketing materialsManage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)Experience with WordPress Website preferred but not required.Advanced writing and presentation skillsStrong Photography & Videography Skills with basic editing capabilitiesStrong computer skills including experience with MS OfficeQualifications (Education and years of experience):Strong desire to learn along with professional driveSolid understanding of different marketing techniquesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent knowledge of MS OfficeFamiliarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics)Passion for the marketing industry and its best practicesBA required with a focus on Marketing/ Communications preferredMust possess a valid driver's license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company's insurance providerInterpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation)Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of managementJudgment and thinking (strategic thinking, original thinking, judgment and decision making, problem solving, awareness)Performance skills (accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency, business acumen)Personal characteristics (motivation/commitment, flexibility, assertiveness, development orientated, results orientation resilience, quality orientation)Disclaimer: The above information in this description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
