Summary

The Marketing Associate will support the Associate Director of Marketing (Paid & Owned Media). This role is crucial in executing key marketing initiatives, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of the brand's strategic marketing efforts.

Essential Functions

Campaign Execution

  • Coordinate the launch of campaigns across platforms such as print, digital, and social media.
  • Ensure ad creatives are delivered to the appropriate channels on time and meet technical specifications.

Social Media

  • Plan and execute social media calendars, scheduling and posting across platforms
  • Monitor channels, respond to inquiries and foster community engagement with tailored content

Email Marketing

  • Assist in developing and implementing segmented email campaigns, including newsletters, promotions and announcements
  • Create compelling, brand-aligned content and manage list segmentations, hygiene and A/B testing

Website Management

  • Update and maintain website content to align with marketing initiatives and product launches
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for design and functionality updates

Copywriting Support

  • Create engaging marketing copy for emails, websites, and promotional materials, emphasizing product education, strain knowledge, and responsible consumption.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and compliance with cannabis marketing regulations.

Partnerships & Influencers Support

  • Support partnership, sponsorship and influencer initiatives
  • Build relationships and explore collaborations with cannabis influencers and brand ambassadors for cross-promotions.

Event Support

  • Assist with planning and executing consumer, retail and trade events
  • Manage vendor coordination, onsite logistics and ensure alignment with brand goals

Merchandise Management

  • Coordinate production and delivery of branded merchandise, ensuring timely, cost-effective solutions and inventory quality assurance

Measurement & Optimization

  • Analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to evaluate program and campaign success, identifying key insights and making data-driven recommendations for optimization

Performance Monitoring and Analytics:

  • Track campaign performance metrics (e.g., impressions, clicks, conversions) to evaluate program and campaign success, identifying key insights and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Use analytics tools to track campaign ROI, focusing on metrics such as customer acquisition, engagement, and awareness.

Project Management

  • Oversee marketing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely deliver, effective team communication and streamlined workflows
  • Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams to align efforts and drive shared objectives, ensuring proactive communication to achieve key marketing goals and initiatives

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, preferable within the cannabis or CPG industries.
  • Passion for the cannabis industry and a keen interest in emerging marketing trends.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for interpreting performance data.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media ad platforms, Asana).
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits proactive problem-solving, independence, and self-motivation in achieving goals and completing tasks.
