Job Description:Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing nursing services to all patients and making accurate nursing evaluations of patient's physical and mental conditions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)Prepare patients for examination and treatmentComplete all necessary documentation in patients' medical records in accordance with the clinic's charting policyMaintain and utilize effective communication with patients, coworkers and visitorsDemonstrate responsibility for professionalism growth and developmentActively participate in continuous quality improvements, staff meetings, and education programsWorks with the Care Coordination team to facilitate phone callsPlaces orders under the supervision of a providerPerform and assist with various aspects of patient care such as administering medication under general supervision, providing instructions to patients, performing basic lab procedures as instructed, and assisting with medical procedures as appropriateMaintain a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients and visitorsClean, sterilize, and store instruments in accordance with clinic policiesRestock and prepare the medical suites for patient examinationReorder supplies when neededRespond to patient and family needsMaintain high standards of confidentiality relating to patient informationComplete required continuous training and educationComply with personal protective equipment requirementsComply with bloodborne pathogens proceduresScreen telephone calls and take message from callersInitiate proper action in response to problemsProvide information about services availableSchedule appointmentsCall patients to confirm and reschedule appointmentsOrganization of Office and LabDisplay and promote company valuesRegular attendanceOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School or GED preferred•Experience in medical setting preferred•Current Iowa LPN License•BLS certification or obtain upon hire SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to effectively communicate.Time Management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentOrganizational skillsPosition Urgency:Quick StartShifts:7:30a-5:15p M-FState License Details:Must Be Currently ActiveMinimum Years of Experience:4Minimum Guaranteed Hours:36Specialty Type:NursingSub Specialty:LPN, ClinicGeneral Certifications:BLS/BCLSBilingual:NoEMR Used:EPICHoliday Coverage Required:No
