- Execute established event plans including logistics and communication of resort signature events and holiday activations.
- Manage detailed event folders and workbooks to curate all event information, execution plans, contracts, budgets, guest communication, and marketing collateral.
- Manage established task lists and timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure that all event elements are seamlessly integrated; includes event rentals, sound and lighting, entertainment, catering, retail exhibitors, and more.
- Manage event budgets and expenses by building relationships with vendors to secure competitive pricing.
- Build and grow vendor relationships to qualify and ensure future participation
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that all event elements are seamlessly integrated; includes conference services, banquets, audiovisual, engineering, transportation, accommodations, security, and more.
- Produce event marketing material maintaining brand integrity and compliance with standards for all content produced.
- Write clear, compelling copy that reflects the brand's voice and values, and aligns with the resort's objectives and target audience for platforms including but not limited to resort website, mobile app, advertising, prospect emails, and miscellaneous collateral.
- Provide information for event guests pre-arrival and check-in registration of participants.
- Anticipate and troubleshoot issues or challenges that may arise during events, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Oversee onsite event execution, providing support and guidance to staff, vendors, and volunteers as needed to support set-up and pack down of events.
- Track and report on event attendance and pace of package/ticket sales.
- Prepare event meeting agendas, progress reports and recaps to improve future events.
- Coordinate resort venue entertainment schedules and booking of artists as assigned.
- Maintain detailed event schedules and timelines, including performer rotations and technical requirements.
- Select, book, and facilitate payment for the entertainers per approved budgets.

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years marketing and content creation experience, preferably in the hotel/resort/guest service industry or related field.
- Experience in event planning is desirable but project management experience will also be considered.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, HTML, and Email marketing platforms.
- Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment with the ability to self-direct and be proactive in completing goal-oriented assignments in established timeframes.
- Adhere to all written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
