The Marketing Data Associate supports the Mercy Ships Marketing Strategy by compiling, reviewing, and modifying donor data information for mail, email and other marketing campaigns.
Optimizes the donor experience by supporting Marketing Data governance and data hygiene efforts and by assisting in management of the CRM Donor Database. Processes daily reports and makes appropriate edits and assignments. Compiles and disseminates weekly and monthly reports according to established processes. Conducts research and provides reports and data analytics to Development Managers. Supports Marketing Data Team with data requirements for campaigns and projects. Participates in all Marketing Data Team process improvement efforts.

- Processes incoming daily reports and updates donor records appropriately. Accurately implements donor assignments using multifaceted Assignment Business Plan. Compiles and disseminates weekly and monthly reports according to established processes.
- Conducts research and provides reports and data analytics to Development Managers.
- Updates donor database accurately with demographic data, mailing preferences, codes, contacts, mailing preferences and additional information (the database remains the property of Mercy Ships).
- Participates in Marketing Data Team process improvement initiatives. Maintains and improves current process documentation; creates new process documentation as needed. Monitors and ensures data governance according to Mercy Ships Data Standards. Investigates and corrects data issues using a variety of methods and software tools.
- Supports Marketing Data Manager and other team members in data related tasks including segmentation, coding, scanlines, address updates and projects.
- Participates in all Marketing Data Team quality control efforts including sign offs to ensure accuracy and completeness of all data files.

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.
- High School diploma required.
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of basic Excel skills (sort, filter, formatting, basic formulas).
- Experience with Word, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint preferred.
- 1+ years of work experience in data entry and management preferred.
- Experience working in a non-profit environment preferred.
- Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
