The Marketing and Design Specialist requires a detail-oriented professional for this versatile hybrid role, blending key marketing responsibilities with graphic design expertise. The Marketing and Design Specialist is instrumental in crafting compelling social media content, newsletters, vendor-focused initiatives, and creative designs to support and elevate our brands.
This position is hybrid-eligible based in either Lacey, WA or Kent, WA with occasional travel to other offices for meetings. Recent graphic and marketing work examples will be requested during the application process.
Compensation: $25-32/hr DOE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be a part of a stellar and supportive marketing team that leverages collaboration to drive creativity. This role will involve working closely with designers, specialists, and managers and reporting directly to the Marketing Manager. This role will mainly own and manage various social and digital communications, POS materials, in-house flyers, menu board edits, and oversee print jobs. The Marketing and Design Specialist will be essential in maintaining brand standards for Harbor Foods and its subsidiaries, including Harbor Wholesale, Harbor Foodservice, Real Fresh Brands, and Northlink Logistics.
Marketing Duties:
* Plan and execute vendor-focused marketing initiatives.
* Manage social media platforms, including content creation, copywriting, and scheduling posts for all Harbor-owned brands.
* Curate and produce newsletters, including the Delivering Goodness, Fresh Ideas, and Popular Products Newsletter.
* Coordinate the ordering and distribution of branded clothing and accessories.
* Maintaining customer email databases.
* Other duties as assigned.
Graphic Design Duties:
* Design and edit promotional materials, customer menus, and menu boards in line with Harbor standards.
* Create various marketing materials, including flyers, templates, banners, and signage.
* Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and are completed within deadlines.
* Collaborate with team members to refine creative outputs and adjust designs based on feedback.
* Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Proficiency in graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms and content management tools.
* Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Recent graphic and marketing work examples will be requested during the application process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* A degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field will be strongly preferred.
* 2 to 5 years of combined experience in marketing coordination and graphic design.
