Director of Marketing, Downstream

This role is hybrid; onsite 2x per week at our Palo Alto office. Qualified candidates must have current downstream marketing experience of 5+ years.

The Director of Downstream Marketing will lead the strategic direction and execution of marketing strategies for Recor globally, with a primary focus in the US market. This is a critical leadership role as it involves overseeing the marketing strategy, planning and execution of the Paradise uRDN system. The candidate is expected to work closely with sales leadership and sales reps to implement marketing/commercial programs to deliver results. This role also involves leading cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions in order to gain new accounts and user and to differentiate from competition. This is people leader position and will report into Vice President of Marketing & Market Access.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Owns all levels of marketing strategy, planning and execution to achieve business objectives
  • Develop go-to-market strategy for product launches, including market segmentation, targeting and positioning, pricing, product differentiation, omnichannel marketing and sales enablement tools
  • Responsible for the product branding strategy and messaging architecture
  • Partner closely with sales leaders and sales reps to execute marketing initiatives in order to deliver commercial results
  • Immerse in the field to work side-by-side with sales reps to understand customer unmet needs and objection in order to develop effective marketing initiatives
  • Build marketing assets and tools needed to support sales team
  • Partnership with Medical Education to ensure education content and events supports organization's strategic goals
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to execute digital marketing campaigns to generate and nurture new leads
  • Close partnership with Market Development to share best practices and identify synergistic opportunities for collaboration
  • Stay ahead and successfully differentiate from competition to achieve market share leadership
  • Leverage market research, sales and customer feedback to guide improvements in marketing plan and execution
  • Participates in strategic planning initiatives including long-range planning to ensure profitable growth.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams on strategic product development and clinical evidence planning
  • Support local customer engagement events as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of medical device industry experience with progressive responsibilities in Downstream Marketing
  • Proven track record in strategic marketing and executing complex marketing plan to deliver results
  • Ability to influence senior-level stakeholders and make recommendations based on insights and data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales to execute marketing programs
  • Ability to partner with external stakeholders including interventionalists and administrators
  • Experience working in high functioning cross-functional teams
  • Effective people leader who can attract talents and build a strong and motivated team
  • Data analytics skills
  • Financial and budget management
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Expect to travel up to 30% of the time

Salary Range: $ 200,000- $250,543 (Annual Base Salary) + Annual Bonus
