The Opportunity
The Freedonia Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Director. This person will manage our Marketing Team in the planning and execution of all Marketing solutions for all our brands and products.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in SEO and digital marketing strategies, a deep understanding of B2B marketing dynamics, and a proven track record in account-based marketing. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive lead generation, nurture relationships, and integrate multi-channel marketing campaigns effectively. HubSpot experience required.
The Responsibilities
- Manage marketing team on a day-to-day basis
- Digital Marketing and SEO:
- Multi-Channel Approach: Integrate various channels—email, social media, content, and events—into cohesive B2B campaigns.
- SEO Proficiency:
- Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords for B2B audiences using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, and URLs for search engines.
- Link Building: Implement ethical link-building practices to improve domain authority and organic rankings.
- Technical SEO: Ensure site speed, mobile optimization, structured data markup, and ARIA compliance are up to standard.
- Content and E-commerce:
- Content Marketing: Develop and execute a content strategy that addresses the pain points of our target audience and positions our market research reports as essential resources.
- E-commerce Optimization: Optimize the e-commerce experience, focusing on user journey improvements, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and managing online sales funnels.
- B2B Marketing Strategy:
- Understanding B2B Dynamics: Grasp the unique aspects of B2B marketing, including longer sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and the importance of relationship-building.
- Account-Based Marketing (ABM):
- Develop and execute ABM strategies tailored to specific target accounts, focusing on personalized messaging and nurturing relationships.
- Lead Generation and Nurturing:
- Generate high-quality leads and nurture them through the funnel using tactics like content marketing, webinars, and gated resources.
- Collaboration with Sales:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales goals.
- Lead Generation and Sales Enablement:
- Drive lead generation efforts and develop strategies to support the sales team in converting leads into customers. Utilize tools like HubSpot for CRM and marketing automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Act as liaison with Technology, Publishing, and Sales teams to execute SEO and other online marketing projects.
Requirements and Skills
Core Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of HubSpot* THIS IS A CORE FUNCTION OF THE POSITION.
- 10 + years of related marketing experience
- 5 + years of Marketing Management experience
- B2B/ABM (Account Based Marketing) Experience required
- Demonstratable Knowledge of B2B SEO (Ahrefs or SEMrush)
Expected Experience:
- Demonstrated success/experience with
- Email Marketing
- Content Marketing
- Earned Media
- Social media with focus on LinkedIn
- Google Digital Suite
- Effective use of generative AI
Other qualifications:
- Experience with Website launch/redesign
- Experience with marketing KPIs, reporting, ROI analysis
- Knowledge of Kentico CMS preferred, not required.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to construct and leverage marketing metrics/automated customer performance metrics to drive revenue and reduce cancellation
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines for time sensitive assignments
- Must be creative, extremely detail-oriented and organized with strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to work across departments and with the executive team
