Overview
Coordinates and produces four-season events and competitions that benefit Loon Mountain Resort by leveraging exposure and adding value for guests. This will include planning, negotiation, and coordination with on-resort teams and outside vendors, partners and suppliers. As Loon is a guest-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.
Responsibilities
* Maintain master schedule of resort events
* Coordinate and produce events according to resort safety guidelines
* Build and manage department budget
* Hire, schedule and manage department staff
* Build event partner contracts
* Coordinate, schedule and budget resources from other resort departments and outside vendors
* Produce internal function sheets in timely manner that detail dates, schedule and location of event(s). Communicate updates as needed.
* Manage inventory of department equipment, supplies and materials
* Manage and track event release of liability waivers
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
* Organize event registrations
* Coordinate and assist with the setup and teardown of on-mountain event Maintain arenas according to resort best practices.
* Manage billing of resort partners
* Develop new events that support the resort Work with VP of Marketing to engage outside sponsorships for events when applicable.
* Professional attire, demeanor along with a can-do attitude each
* Perform other duties as
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
* Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all
* Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without
* Report accidents and incidents at once to immediate
* Follow all company and department safety policies and
* Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or
* Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort
* Ski or snowboard at an intermediate or advanced ability
* Ski or snowboard within the suggested routes while on-the-clock unless asked otherwise by immediate supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises part-time seasonal staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License Required. Resort Certification for any used equipment.

The employee must be able to ski or snowboard on all trails at Loon Mountain Resort and be able to stay outside in cold temperatures for 1-8 hours at a time.
