Job Description:

NextGen is seeking a full-time Marketing/Graphics Designer capable of translating verbal concepts and written narrative into graphics and text for briefings, branding, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize existing content and information as well as technical interviews to develop graphical and presentation materials to communicate US Army customer messages, strategy, and vision.
  • Provide a transformative vision in support of updating and rebranding the customer organization.
  • Capable of working with Senior Executives and Leadership to capture ideas and visions and take the creative ball and run; translating concepts to products with independence.
  • Collaborate with customer organizations Headquarters leadership and operations team to create a vision as well as provide concepts for projects.
  • Produce marketing and promotional material such as brochures, programs, posters, and advertisements.
  • Develop and update in-house projects such as organization branding, decor, and signage.
  • Heavily involved in developing graphics for PowerPoint briefings including vector illustrations, title pages, charts, diagrams, picture enhancement to convey messaging, as well as formatting PowerPoint presentations for consistency.
  • Responsible for the preparation, creation, and production of visual information graphics and presentations as assigned by the customer.
  • Collaborate internally with team members and support all ad-hoc design needs

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud / Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Suite (specifically PowerPoint) Leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to present own creative concepts and create original art elements (using photography, illustration, typography, infographics) in a fast pace environment
  • Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships
  • Photography experience a plus
  • SharePoint experience a plus
  • Demonstrable skills with a strong portfolio (candidate will be asked to present portfolio/example work products).

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Marketing, or related field 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • At least 2 years professional experience supporting 100+ person organizations; 5+ year desired
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD clearance at the Secret level.
