The Marketing Manager – Commercial Segment, US & Canada, develops and manages the go-to-market strategies and execution for the commercial business segment of Rinnai. They will work with the commercial team to understand who the decision makers and key influencers are in the various commercial channels and how to effectively communicate the value proposition offered by Rinnai's commercial product line to these audiences. Additionally, this position will provide marketing support and direction for Rinnai's growing Canadian market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a thorough understanding of commercial segment decision makers and influencers in the foodservice, hospitality, multi-family housing, and other commercial segments and develop strategies to effectively reach each audience.
  • Partner with Commercial Sales Leadership team to build and execute growth strategies for Commercial Business Segment
  • Collaborate with commercial team to execute and deliver annual operating plans.
  • Utilize insights from interaction with sales and existing customers to clearly articulate value proposition offered by Rinnai products and services to various commercial segments and audiences.
  • Identify and develop sales tools and content to effectively communicate benefits of Rinnai products and services to the various commercial segments.
  • Develop insights on market needs and work with product development to generate pipeline of innovation opportunities.
  • Support new commercial product launches through development of sales collateral, PR initiatives, media, and events.
  • Work with Marketing team and agency partners to develop and execute comprehensive communication plan to reach commercial segment.
  • Assist in management of tradeshows and other customer events.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key competitors and track market activity.
  • Partner with sales to strengthen relationships with existing customer base and identify new target accounts and segments.
  • Partner with Canada sales leadership and external agencies to develop and execute strategies to drive growth in Canada market for both commercial and residential products.
  • Develop and sales and marketing manage tools and resources specific to needs of Canada market
  • Travel to key markets and regions to meet with customers to learn about market needs and obtain voice of customer.

REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of corporate and operational business issues
  • Marketing management, PR and advertising experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of business strategies and tactics to implement brand and marketing initiatives
  • Experience in B2B marketing to commercial businesses
  • Experience in a multi-tiered distribution model
  • Experience in wholesale, heating and energy space
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business required, Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing or related experience.
  • Experience in consumer durables a plus.
