Job Overview
Manage the marketing function for Callaway Resort & Gardens. Primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, and execute all marketing strategy and activity to enable attainment of attendance, revenue, NPS and EBITDA goals. The Marketing Manager will provide strategic thinking, departmental leadership, cross-functional partnership, and executional excellence in maximizing results from all earned, owned, paid, and shared communications channels. With the support and resources of the Atlanta-based Property Support Center ( PSC ) marketing and PR team and corporate advertising agency, the Manager will deliver each of the elements in the Callaway Resort & Gardens marketing mix effectively and with executional excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Managing, executing and optimizing annual marketing plans to deliver and exceed targets.
* Provide ongoing monitoring of business performance and goal attainment. Recommend shifts in strategies and tactics to ensure financial plan attainment.
* Work the integrated marketing process with functional leaders at the Atlanta-based property support center across the following disciplines: insights & analytics, marketing communications, marketing technology, ticketing operations and destination marketing.
* Model a spirit of guest advocacy, serving as an unbiased, empathetic representative for the guest and their needs.
* Translate guest needs and wishes into business opportunities, managing research projects that identify solutions to unmet needs.
* Manage the membership program, providing strategic guidance to assure successful delivery and optimization of objectives.
* Oversee the development and implementation of the promotions strategy and plan to drive attendance and occupancy.
* Partner with the hospitality and revenue management team to develop and execute packages and promotions specific to lodging targets.
* Manage the planning and execution of the social media strategy to engage target consumers.
* Review and approve advertising strategy, campaign briefs, creative concepts, and media mix, weight, and timing; providing feedback professionally, and in a way that demonstrates partnership with the PSC and a respect for the process.
* Partner with PR teams to drive earned media value in core and growth markets.
* Facilitate brand architecture development and adherence across the property and all soft mediums.
* Manage the annual Marketing budget.
* Bring a spirit of collaboration and service to the position, applying insights to assist property leaders in determining where the brand has opportunity.
* Represent Callaway Resort & Gardens in the local community and at industry-related meetings and conferences.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a field of business or marketing.
* 5+ years progressive marketing experience.
* Experience in for-profit attractions, theme parks, museums, festivals or sports franchises preferred.
* Business leadership demonstrated through patience, kindness, trust, respect, unselfishness, truthfulness, forgiveness, dedication, and humility.
* Ability to inspire and motivate all stakeholders towards a shared vision.
* Highly organized with strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Proficient in MS Office; Content Management Systems and website analytic programs.
* Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
* Ability to travel locally to attend expos and networking events both during and outside of scheduled hours.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
