Job Description

The Oklahoma Lottery is looking to add a member to our fun and creative marketing team! We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to lead, develop, and implement marketing strategies aimed at increasing player engagement, brand awareness, and sales performance. This role will focus on managing a talented team, driving the execution of high-impact marketing campaigns, and leveraging CRM systems to improve customer engagement. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of marketing success, a deep understanding of customer behavior, and a passion for innovative marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution

* Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the Oklahoma Lottery's business objectives and goals.

* Oversee marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.

* Monitor and analyze market trends and consumer behavior to adapt strategies, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

* Work closely with the team to ensure cohesive brand messaging and promotional efforts.

Team Management

* Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

* Assign and oversee tasks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

* Foster a collaborative, creative environment that encourages innovation and strong teamwork.

* Conduct performance evaluations and support the continued growth of team members.

CRM & Customer Engagement

* Manage and optimize CRM platforms to maintain a strong connection with customers, improve segmentation, and enhance personalized communication strategies.

* Utilize CRM systems to analyze player data, identifying trends and insights that can be leveraged for targeted marketing campaigns.

* Drive loyalty program and other initiatives aimed at retaining and growing the customer base.

* Ensure that all customer touchpoints are cohesive and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

* Collaborate with the team to develop a digital marketing strategy, focusing on optimized content that drives brand awareness and bolsters positive brand sentiment while boosting player acquisition and retention.

* Oversee the execution of social media campaigns, ensuring engagement with followers and effective use of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok.

* Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing efforts and report on the ROI of digital and social campaigns.

Brand Management & Operations

* Maintain a focus on brand management and work to enhance the Oklahoma Lottery's positive reputation.

* Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and platforms.

* Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements across all campaigns and vendor partnerships.

Data & Analytics

* Leverage data and analytics to measure the performance of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.

* Provide regular reports to leadership on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, KPIs, and customer engagement metrics.

* Use customer insights to drive decision-making and innovation in future campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.

* Experience: A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in marketing, with a strong preference for experience in consumer goods, retail, or entertainment sectors. At least 2 years of experience managing a team is required.

* CRM Systems: Demonstrated experience working with CRM platforms that drive customer engagement and insights.

* Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

* Digital Marketing: Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.

* Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a dynamic team.

* Analytical Skills: Experience in using data to inform decisions, evaluate marketing campaign performance, and optimize strategies.

* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to leadership and work cross-functionally with various teams.

* Creativity & Innovation: A creative thinker who can bring new ideas to the table and encourage innovative approaches to marketing challenges.

* Organization: Must have proficient organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with loyalty programs or player engagement strategies.

* Familiarity with lottery or gaming industries is a plus, but not required.

* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and all Microsoft Office products.

Conflict of Interest: All Oklahoma Lottery Commission employees are prohibited from having a financial interest in any vendor doing business or proposing to do business with the Commission.

Background Investigation: A background investigation and credit analysis will be conducted on each applicant who has reached the final selection process prior to employment by the Commission. The results of a background investigation shall be classified as confidential and not subject to an Open Records request.
