The role leads the marketing operations function reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and manages one direct report. The team focuses on establishing processes, implementing marketing tools and technology, and leading team efforts to ensure the efficient operation of the Marketing and Communication team. The responsibilities require collaboration with the department leadership team and team members, business line stakeholders, and senior leaders. The ideal candidate is proactive and collaborative in driving marketing work efforts that align to department strategies and organization priorities.

Position Responsibilities:Department Leadership and Support - Lead development and maintenance of weekly and annual reporting processes, working in close collaboration with the Marketing & Communications leadership team
- Lead department efforts in coordination with all teams to establish performance analysis processes by developing analytics, measurement, and reporting systems for department outputs (KPI reporting)
- Support annual and midyear strategic planning deliverables for the team
- Provide budgeting support to leaders in the department and work with finance and accounting to track and report department spending
- Own the deployment, training, and use of Asana and other marketing efficiency tools for the department, collaborating across our teams to ensure consistent implementation for value-added reporting and tracking
- Maintain a repository of standardized business metrics about Northmarq, working with assigned department leaders to ensure it is easily accessible to stakeholders and regularly audited (annual data sync)
- Support team talent and culture efforts such as upskilling/continuing education, team event planning, team town halls, and recognition programs
- Lead efforts to ensure the team develops and updates key processes and procedures for the department
- Support the Marketing & Communications leadership team with onboarding, training new team members, and identifying ongoing training needed to support department efforts
- Represent the department in key organizational initiatives providing coordination with the Marketing & Communications leadership team to deliver requested outputs
Key Initiative Project Management and Execution - Track and manage deliverables across the department for company product launches, acquisitions, and key efforts
- Facilitate deliverables for onboarding of client-facing staff (brokers and producers)
- Collaborate with business line leadership to create compelling, highly customized proposals and presentations
- Conduct ad hoc research to inform key decisions as needed
- Prepare marketing materials in collaboration with the brand and creative team to deliver on business partners' priorities (pitchbooks, sell sheets, etc.)
- In partnership with the communications team, subject matter experts, and others, build and deliver visual presentations for internal meetings that effectively reflect Northmarq's story, goals, performance, and other key messages
- Work with executive and senior management to translate complex data and themes into high-impact, compelling narratives in presentation materials
- Provide extensive formatting support to PowerPoint presentations in accordance with corporate branding guidelines
- Support on-site execution of presentation audio-visual technology at highly visible internal events
- Assist the communications team with the development and implementation of a new intranet site (MyMarq)
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications/PR, or related fields
- 6+ years of previous marketing or communications/PR experience working in a project management or operations role.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively and collaboratively with executive leaders and corporate business partners
- Direct management experience
- Commercial real estate or investment management industry experience preferred
- A collaborative self-starter, this leader must demonstrate experience with relationship building, critical thinking, excellent judgment
- Ability to support organizational and team strategies and contribute to the Marketing & Communication team's ability to achieve strategic goals and outcomes
- Demonstrated success in establishing team priorities and developing strategies in support of team goals and objectives
- Established project management and coordination skills in delivering marketing initiatives across the organization
- Must possess strong organization and prioritization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities
- Professionally represents the Marketing & Communication team in a variety of organizational settings acting as a liaison and orchestrator of key efforts
- Ability to be self-directed and willingness to take initiative
- Excellent creative and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint
- Proficiency with other Microsoft suite of products: Word, Excel, Teams
- General knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Experience with Asana - or a similar project management tool - and establishing new workflows
