We are currently seeking a Marketing and Operations Assistant to join the Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau team. The Speakers Bureau represents an unrivaled roster comprised of exceptional Penguin Random House authors, for paid speaking engagements at universities, libraries, corporations, conferences, and literary series around the world, both virtually and in person.This position encompasses a diverse set of marketing, operations, and sales responsibilities and provides tremendous growth potential, with opportunities to work within a close team of seasoned publishing professionals. The applicant will support the PRHSB marketing team as well as the Vice President, report to the Associate Director of Marketing and Operations and the Head of Global Creative Strategy & Marketing, Speakers Bureau.The ideal candidate is a curious and creative problem-solver with a proactive and independent approach to work. They should demonstrate an ability to communicate in a professional manner, have outstanding organizational skills, and be extremely detail-oriented. Before applying for any role at Penguin Random House, we recommend you review our applicant resources page and look over our open-to-remote guidelines on our FAQs page.Responsibilities:Manages the general inbox and responds to general inquiries from clients.Maintains file systems for marketing and speaker files, media kits, and assets.Assists with writing, creating, and sending email marketing campaigns.Assists in creating content for the Speaker's Bureau's social media channels, including managing playlists, uploading speaker videos, and collaborating with our video team to create new speaker reels.Assists with the Speakers Bureau website updates and maintenance, including curating the homepage, updating speaker profiles, and asset management.Supports with administrative needs such as scheduling meetings, creating agendas, maintaining calendars, and keeping minutes.Provides regular support for our teams' customer relationship management database, including data entry, clean-up, and maintenance.Works on additional assignments, projects, and responsibilities as needed.Requirements:Keen attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and writing skillsEffective follow-up skills and ability to manage multiple projects at onceCapability and interest in learning new skills and applicationsEye for creating marketing and web assets and contentA BA in a related field, or relevant internships and/or equivalent work experiencePrior administrative experienceExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, video editing applications, and/or Salesforce or similar CRM database systems preferredExperience in B2B marketing or book publishing is beneficialThe salary for this position is $48,000.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.Penguin Random House job postings include a good faith compensation range for each open position.
