Overview:
GovCIO is currentlyseeking aMarketing Operations Specialistto join our dynamic team. This role is critical to supporting our brand growth strategy by developing and managing marketing campaigns, enhancing our corporate visibility, engaging employees, and creating impactful content.This position will beRemote in DC-VA-MD.This position is a hybrid role, must be able to commute to our headquarters located in Fairfax, VA.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Campaigns&Content Creation:
- Design and execute impactful campaigns for sector-level programs, corporate initiatives, and media products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize and execute creative projects that align with our brand strategy.
- Create engaging content for social media, digital and print materials, ensuring alignment with brand voice and platform specifications.
- Write marketing copy, design advertising materials, andassistinmanagingthe company's website tomaintainaccurate, up-to-date content.
Employee Engagement&Events:
- Plan and manage employee engagementcontentand eventsto foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Collaborate with teams to support corporate and media events, ensuring alignment with brandobjectives.
Merchandise&Vendor Management:
- Coordinate sourcing and management of promotional merchandise and materials.
- Oversee vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and inventory to ensuretimelyavailability.
Data Analysis&Process:
- Track and report on team performance, analyzing progress toward internalobjectivesand organizational KPIs,providingactionable insights to marketing leadership.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies.
- Collaborate across teams to improve processes, and leverage software tools to drive efficiency, organization, and performance tracking.
- Assistin streamlining digital marketing efforts.
- Optimizemarketing campaigns using insights from performance data.
Public Relations:
- Assistwith public relations initiatives by drafting content, coordinating outreach, and supporting the development of relationships with media outletsand internal leadershipto enhance brand visibility.
- Support press opportunities by researching potential coverage areas and coordinating media interviews and features that align with the brand narrative.
- Research industry awards and recognition opportunities, preparing materials for submission with guidance from senior team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing, digital strategies, or social media management.
- Proficiencyin marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Sprout or similar social management platform).
- Strong writing and content creation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and content creation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in vendor coordination and campaign reporting is a plus.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an“at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range: USD $60,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
